Language, terminology, formality of writing

Football blog - FootballBlog.co.uk

This blog gives an analysis and summary of the events and matches that takes place. The writing of the blog is straightforward, direct and straight to the point. It is formal, with no personal engagement, creating the idea that the blog's main aim is to inform, but not to discuss and interact. The design and layout is similar to a lot of football blogs, with a big, bold title, social network options and links to other pages on the website. The content of this blog is a significant amount, as it covers every relevant detail of the matches. There is some signs that suggest the writer is putting his own views across such as "struggling Wolves" and "suprise title hopefuls Spurs." However it is arguable that these views are already suggested by many other pundits and blogs, and is evidently clear during the matches and form of the clubs. The sentences in the blog are structured carefully with good choice of words, and use of punctuation.
